Found a lump of coal in my blogger stocking...

Our little wooden skiff weathering the Juneau winter like a champ
Like the Ra Wee Yin, this blog is needing some attention, especially now that nearly a month has gone by since my last post. Terrible, I know (poor little wooden skiff blog). But I really have missed this creative outlet so much that from now on I vow to do two things:

1) Bring a laptop when I travel
2) Make sure it's a computer that I won't be (too) upset about losing in the event it gets lost/broken/stolen

Scotty and I strongly considered bringing a laptop on our last trip over the Christmas and New Year's holidays, but ultimately decided against it since we knew we would be on the road quite a bit. Now, a month later, I am realizing how much more difficult it is to jump back in to the groove after being gone. Not to mention, while getting back up to speed at my regular full-time office job.

So, here's a quick recap of what we've been up to lately: a whirlwind road trip up to Annapolis to put a cover on our boat for the winter months, a very fun and cozy Christmas with family in Asheville and northern Georgia, and our latest adventure in the Dominican Republic over the New Year's holiday. No dull moments around here!

Now that we're back in Alaska, I'm finally catching my breath after a couple of action-packed months and looking forward to bring this travelogue up to speed. Hope everyone had a warm and happy holiday season!
